Maya Chu

Maya is a high school senior from Iowa City, Iowa. She is a varsity policy debater and loves hearing (and yes, debating) differing perspectives on all issues. She is also an award-winning student journalist for her school newspaper and is on the operations & finance team for The Yappie, a national news organization dedicated to covering AAPI politics. Maya enjoys connecting with politically-minded peers in her area through Iowa Youth Congress, which provides students the direction to advocate change in their communities and at the state level for youth issues. She is excited to learn and have engaging discussions with a diverse set of podcast guests this year. Some of her favorite podcasts include The Ezra Klein Show, Vox Conversations, The Argument, and The Dropout.
